Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery Enters New Leadership Era

John Bauman Named Rebound’s new Executive Director

Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery announces John Bauman as Executive Director. Mr. Bauman succeeds David Bennett who held the role for more than 22 years.

John Bauman brings nearly 20 years of experience to his new role. Prior to joining Rebound, he held numerous healthcare leadership positions in the Portland/SW Washington area, as well as nationally. He served for more than 14 years as Administrator of The Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Eugene, Ore., and most recently as CEO of Advanced Orthopedics in Richmond, Va.

“I pursued this position because of Rebound’s reputation and commitment to teamwork, personal attention to patients, and innovation,” Bauman says of his decision to join Rebound.  “I feel very privileged to be given this opportunity.”

“After conducting a national search, we selected John for his strong background in musculoskeletal practice management and his extensive knowledge of the local market,” says Stephen Southerland, M.D., Rebound President.  “John brings creativity and enthusiasm, and holds a genuine regard for patients, colleagues, and employees.”

Bauman is pleased to once again live in the Pacific Northwest, his on and off home since starting Reed College in 1977.  He enjoys fishing in Southwest Washington and Central Oregon, as well as backpacking, cycling, and running.  He is moving back with his wife and youngest of three children, who is attending Portland State University.
