Rebound runFIT Running Clinic Returns for Fall!

Did you know that 80% of runners are injured each year? We’ll help you avoid being a part of that percentage.

Our 10-week summer running clinic was a big hit, so we’ve added another clinic that kicks off Monday, Oct. 6, at our Pacific Crest Physical Therapy location. Smart running techniques shouldn’t fade away as the seasons change, and we’re dedicated to training runners to prevent injuries yearlong.

Unlike our summer runFIT program, the fall sessions will last six weeks. ACE Master Running Coach, Derrick DeLay, will help you hone your skills through exercises, drills and soft tissue maintenance techniques.

As a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Medicine, Derrick specializes in teaching athletes how to integrate strength, flexibility, core stability and cardiovascular training into their exercise regimens. His more than seven years experience as a health and fitness professional will help you improve your performance, whether you’re a beginner or an avid runner.

Here are just a few of the things you can expect from runFIT:

  • Increase the muscular strength of your feet, ankles, legs and hips
  • Increase the integrity of tendons, ligaments and bones in the foot and leg
  • Increase your balance and stability
  • Learn biomechanically correct running techniques
  • Decrease your likelihood of injury

Some of the most common ailments runners face affect their feet, ankles and knees, much of which are caused by improper technique, lack of conditioning or overuse. By increasing your strength and stability, and improving your focus on technique, you’re conditioning your body to protect itself from the demands of running. We want to help you protect yourself from injuries that are all too common among runners.

Sign up for this running clinic and get ready to run your best!
